GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN Post 16 to join our dynamic team at a co-educational secondary school in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a rewarding role, where you can make a real difference in the lives of students.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN Post 16, you will work closely with students aged 16 and above having Special Educational Needs. Your role will involve providing tailored support to help these students achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN Post 16, Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and challenging lessons tailored to the special education needs and post-16 curriculum.
Provide academic support to students, offering guidance and personalized learning assistance.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.
Collaborate with teaching staff to create innovative learning strategies and resources.
Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their educational goals.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEN Post 16, Your Requirements will include:

A recent graduate with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in pursuing a career in education.
Proven experience working with Sen Post-16 students in an educational setting is advantageous.
Enthusiastic and highly motivated, a genuine interest for encouraging and guiding Post 16 students towards academic achievement and personal growth.
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with all individuals, able to engage effectively with Post-16 students.
Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
