Are you an excellent and experienced Cover Supervisor / Secondary Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work?
Are you looking to gain more experience of working with children in a school/educational setting?Academics Ltd, Kent are currently recruiting for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of amazing secondary schools based in the Broadstairs area. If you are looking for flexibility and day-to-day work, cover supervision is a great opportunity to gain further experience in a variety of local schools and a chance to find a short-term or long-term placement in a school you enjoy working at.

Key responsibilities:

Cover a variety of subjects by providing students with materials previously prepared by class teachers (you will not be expected to plan lessons or assess the work completed).
Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the schools' behaviour policies.
Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students are on task.
Work collaboratively with the cover manager and the rest of the school team to ensure the smooth running of the school day in the absence of class teachers.
Act as an ambassador for Academics Ltd by being punctual and professional at all times.You should apply for this role if you:

Have some experience working with young people or in an educational setting.
Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.
Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage as you can apply through Academics Ltd to obtain an up to date certificate). Academics Ltd also offer free safeguarding training.
Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.
