Are you ready to make a difference in the public sector? Our client, a prominent organisation within Central Government, is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to join their Procurement team in Manchester!

Your Responsibilities:

Manage tenders for external contractors and provide expert advice on complex procurement activities.
Lead contract negotiations and supplier management, ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
Delegate and cover for the Associate Director of Procurement when required.
Develop and implement policies for quality assurance and governance over IT expenditure.Key Skills Needed:

Strong understanding of procurement methods and business analysis techniques.
Proven experience in public sector purchasing and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
