Teaching Assistants are a crucial part of the education workforce in Wales. They are important as they allow teachers to concentrate on core educational tasks. We are seeking individuals who are eager to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become excellent Teaching Assistants.

Those without experience or qualifications in education or childcare will benefit from our FREE training courses. Our courses include, but are not limited to:

* Team Teach Training: Effective classroom management techniques

* Safeguarding: Best practice for protecting children

* Classroom Support (TA Training): Working as a Teaching Assistant

* SEND / ALN Training Awareness: Basic awareness of special educational needs

A Teaching Assistant role includes:

* Supporting the acting class teacher with lesson preparation

* Ensuring the classroom is tidy

* Delivering activities to small groups of children

* Offering support on a 1 to 1 basis

* Using your own initiative

* Developing literacy, numeracy and communication skills in children

As a Teaching Assistant, you require:

* An enhanced Child Workforce DBS (desirable, but not essential)

* 2 years of professional references
