About the role
The marketing executive for Barbour EHS will report to our Head of Marketing and work with them to design, create and execute marketing projects. This will require creativity, a commercial mind and an analytical eye.
In this role, with full support from the Head of Marketing, you will be targeted to drive high-quality leads and the growth of the new sales pipeline via multiple marketing channels. You will monitor the appointments booked from the leads to ensure we are targeting the correct audiences for our products and segmenting effectively.
It’s a highly collaborative role that involves working closely with our new sales team, key stakeholders, and the wider team.
The aim is to raise awareness of our brand and services, reach out to new audiences, generate high-quality leads for new business, and promote the brand as a thought leader in the industry.
What you’ll be getting up to
Provide input and ideas for marketing strategies, activity plans and campaigns
Website content management, including:
Adding blog posts
Editing products and pages
Changing banners
Produce written copy for use across different mediums and platforms – from creating engaging email marketing through to blog posts and white papers
Assist with the coordination of monthly webinars
Research new partnerships (internal and external) and maintain existing marketing partnerships
Coordinate promotional activities, e.g. paid media, interviews, exhibitions and events
Monitor progress and performance of campaigns using various metrics
Assist with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), including:
Optimising web copy in line with recommendations
Working with external agency
Measuring and tracking analytics
Work with our existing graphic designer to procure any assets you need for your campaigns
Protect the brand and ensure guidelines are always adhered to
Help with managing the marketing and enquiries inbox and respond as appropriate
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the teams
Marketing administration, e.g. filling out online profiles, managing email opt outs
Support with management of our company LinkedIn profile, including:
Respond to comments
Engage with our audience as the brand
Monitor competitor activity
Search for relevant groups, partners or opportunities

In order to excel in this role you need…
B2B experience
2-3 years’ experience in a marketing role
An understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, and high attention to detail
Experience in using marketing software (e.g. Mailchimp, CRM systems, Salesforce, Pardot)
We are looking for a highly skilled individual with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. The ideal candidate will be confident in presenting ideas during group meetings, engaging with external contacts, and proactively reaching out to colleagues or suppliers for information as needed. Strong organisational and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively. A good understanding of marketing data analysis and reporting is required, and knowledge of the industry or SaaS experience would be a significant plus.
