About the Role
Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare construction industry? We are seeking a talented Estimating Manager to oversee and coordinate the estimating team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality proposals for healthcare-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for:
Developing and improving tools used by the estimating team to enhance accuracy and efficiency in proposal creation.
Managing team resources and overseeing the scheduling of estimating activities.
Conducting weekly reviews of the sales pipeline to plan, schedule, and prioritise team workload.
Establishing reporting processes to track project progress, accessible to both sales and operational teams.
Conducting site visits and surveys to support sales and project delivery teams as required.
Overseeing bid opportunities, including the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) within set deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A strong understanding of construction, particularly within healthcare projects (desirable).
Experience in managing teams and allocating resources effectively.
A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets.
Strong IT skills to support estimating and reporting processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience compiling and submitting tender responses for public and private sector clients.
The ability to engage with supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information for bids.
Strong reporting skills, providing regular updates to sales and operations teams on project progress.
The ability to review incoming Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tender enquiries from various sources.
Experience in budget generation and cost control for projects.
Strong organisational skills to prioritise, schedule, and allocate resources effectively.
A proactive approach to refining and improving estimating processes.
Experience in managing bid reviews and project review schedules.
