Production Operative

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Production Operative to join our well established client.
Role Overview:
* Provide operative support in order to meet site standards to maintain product consistency, equipment reliability, operational efficiency and maximize factory output, in compliance with group policies. To operate the facility in execution of all operational tasks on a day-to-day basis. This includes logistics, materials handling, small maintenance tasks and operating specific equipment to the required standards.
Duties:
* Control the machine maintaining efficiencies and quality.
* Troubleshoot day to day issues.
* Carry out FLT checks against the checklist daily.
* Operation of FLT, Clamp truck, Skid-steer and MEWP (Cherry Picker).
* Ensure all Quality procedures are followed.
* Use of on-site computer systems.
* Operate the Stock Preparation to a high standard of safety and good housekeeping.
* Carry out Machine cleaning.
* Carry out all QA tests.
* Ensure the correct type and amount of waste and is used, by ratio & by volume.
* Control and optimise the chemicals and chemical addition rigs.
* Identify any problematic waste bales, analyse and make any adjustments necessary to ensure the product is manufactured to the specification required.
* Perform small maintenance activities.
* Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed, including COSHH.
* Assist with Bulk Chemical deliveries and with topping up Chemical tanks in line with procedures, including COSHH.
* Ensure all documentation is 100% accurate.
* Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the site.
* Ensure work areas are kept to the highest standards of housekeeping.
Requirements:
* Worked in a pressurised FMCG operation.
* Experience in operating complex automated manufacturing equipment.
* Understand the need of continuous improvement.
* Possess time-management skills.
* Trustworthy.
* Honest.
* Problem Solving.
* Able to communicate clearly and in a constructive manner.
Salary: £15.91 - £16.21 per hour + overtime.
Working hours: Working a four-on/four-off shift pattern for 12 hours (two days and two nights).
This is a Full time, Permanent position
