Our client, a renowned entity in the maritime defence sector, is seeking a Project Manager to manage bid work within their submarine solutions team. This is a contract role that requires expertise in the bids process to help shape and drive planning and programme schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the development of forward-looking plans for the programme.
Creating and refining detailed scopes and plans for the next phase of the programme.
Developing and managing work breakdown structures to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
Compiling detailed and coherent assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies for work packages.
Identifying and articulating risks and opportunities within the bid process.
Reporting progress and forecasting to the Strategic Planning Lead and Bid Manager.
Working collaboratively within a team, with no direct line management responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

Experience in project management within a bid structure/process.
Proficiency in creating, shaping, and driving work packages effectively.
Strong understanding of developing comprehensive work breakdown structures.
Ability to clearly articulate assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies in project planning.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
Demonstrated capability in reporting and forecasting for complex projects.

Prepared to come in and coach a team and support with the BID management

Experience and understanding of BID cycle and life support
Knowledge of defence supporting - does not have to be specific to Submarines
37 hours over 5 days
12 month contract - potential for extension/perm
Location: Barrow
Hybrid 3 days in the office - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Standard DSE Occupatioianl health
Full SC/OH clearance
Interviews w/c mid 7th October - w/c 14th October
