One of our clients is looking for a Setting out Engineer to help out on a supermarket build!
Duration-30 weeks
Pay rate - £300-£320
Location- Hastings , Sussex
Start date- 14.04.25
Free parking on site
One of our long standing Groundworks & Civil Engineering clients requires an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a long term project starting either on the 14.4.25 or the 21.4.25. Our client is flexible on this, the emphasis is about getting the right candidate with the relevant experience on this project as it will be working alongside a UK leading supermarket chain.
Setting Out Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
• Use site plans, technology, and instruments to mark the location of foundations, walls, access roads, and more.
• Ensure that construction projects start correctly and proceed as planned.
• Use clear markers to indicate where structures are going to be installed.
• Ensure that workers on the site adhere to the markers.
• Monitor the construction process to ensure that the building is being constructed correctly.
Setting Out Engineer Requirements:
• Must have experience working in Residential Groundworks
• Have the ability to survey site levels and create cut and fill models
• Good knowledge of the process around applications for road space, connection into existing services et
• Full clean driving license
Must haves: Thorough experience of Groundworks - setting out and CSCS card and own Leica total station
