Site Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and degree qualified Site Manager for a permanent position on a new build and refurbishment project in Manchester City Centre. This role involves overseeing a £2 million office build project as part of a negotiated contract , with an expected duration of 20 weeks
The contract has been procured under the NEC form of contract indicating the need for a commercially sound manager with experience in early warning notices and compensation events which would be an advantage although full training on the NEC contract will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the construction site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Supervise all on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers
• Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Ensure that the project is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets all regulatory requirements.
• Proactivity in identifying and resolving on site issues before they become apparent
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.

Requirements:
• Degree qualification in construction (essential)
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
• Previous experience in new build office projects in a city centre
• Previous experience with early warning notices and compensation events
• Ability to manage projects up to £2 million
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Proficient in managing subcontractors and suppliers
• Expertise in health and safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
