My client,a thriving automotive business in Chelmsford, are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to help support the team. This is a fully office based role which reports into the Finance Manager handling the day to day transactional finances.
Responsibilities
Manage obligations to suppliers, customers and third-party vendors
Process bank deposits
Reconcile financial statements
Prepare, send and store invoices
Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
Submit tax forms
Identify and address discrepancies
Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets Skills/Experience
Some experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
Good knowledge of Finance procedures and debt collection regulations
Hands-on experience with computer software
Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical error
Good organisational and time-management abilities
BSc degree or relevant qualificationYou will already have at least 1 years experience, ideally gained within the automotive sector and be studying a relevant qualification.
