We currently have an opportunity for a Vehicle Technical Specialist to join our team and welcome applicants based in the Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham areas.
Using their extensive vehicle knowledge, this role is responsible for increasing the value of our customers vehicles by teaching new skills, knowledge, and systems to our Operational staff.
They will identify technical solutions to ensure improvements in the number of vehicles that can be started and are able to run and ensure that high value vehicles are advertised online accurately, thoroughly and are promoted, to ensure that we maximise our customers returns.
The will also evaluate our training needs relating to vehicles and are responsible for supporting our Technical Trainers in creating and delivering training packages, complete with materials and tutorials across the Copart UK business.
This role will be actively involved in projects to identify suitable technical equipment to offer solutions for improvement and using technology, they will provide resources such as online modules and guides consistently across the operational teams.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of vehicle technology
Reviewing high value vehicle lots ensuring we get them running, advertise them accurately and effectively
To proactively identify opportunities to improve our equipment as a result of reviewing our processes and performance
Liaise with managers to ensure all departments needs are met and training is regularly reviewed and updated in line with processes changes
To support in the creation and development of relevant training documents, videos etc.
Work alongside the Performance and Quality Team to proactively identify training opportunities and to track benefits of training delivered
Work with the relevant colleagues to understand our future requirements to build best practice of processes and new systems to streamline where possible
Flexibility to travel to different sites across the UK (Wolverhampton to Scotland)What we need from you:
Essential
Proven experience in a similar role that requires technical or mechanical knowledge of vehicles
Excellent communication skills
The ability to be hands on and lead by example
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience of delivering training to others either in a group or one to one
Excellent planning program, management and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
Must be prepared to travel with a full driving licence and have a flexible approach to work Desirable
GCSE+ qualified or equivalent
Relevant & current mechanical or technical vehicle qualifications
Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Experience of creating and delivering training packages to large audiences using a variety of different methods
