Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Specialist Setting (North Chesterfield)

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in North Chesterfield. The school caters to primary-aged pupils (KS1 & KS2) who are not currently in mainstream education due to a range of needs, including emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.

Role Details:

Location: North Chesterfield

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Driving Licence & Own Car Required

Contract: Permanent (initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment)

Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with additional needs and SEND, helping them engage with learning and build confidence.

Providing one-to-one and small group support, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs.

Working collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement personalised learning plans.

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation through patience and understanding.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a TA in primary schools.

Experience working with pupils with additional needs and SEND.

A resilient, compassionate, and patient approach.

A genuine passion for supporting young learners in overcoming challenges.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for this role).
