Overview

As a sheet metal worker, you will be responsible for fabricating high quality sheet metal components using a variety of hand tools and machinery. Established over 60 years ago, the business is renowned for providing high-quality engineering and manufacturing solutions to their customers in the global aerospace industry.

This position offers a 4-day working week! (37 hours Monday – Thursday).

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a sheet metal worker will include:

Setting up and operating fabrication machinery such as press brakes and guillotines
Using hand and power tools to finish components
Assembly of sheet metal products
Basic inspection of completed work
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Background

The successful sheet metal worker will have:

Previous experience working with producing sheet metal products for the aerospace industry.
The ability to operate metal work machinery such as press breaks and guillotines.
An understanding of aerospace materials and their properties.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and diagrams
Enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work to the high level of accuracy required in the aerospace industry.
