Pay Rate - £180 - £200 per day (CIS)
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Roofer to join our team in Kent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofing systems across a variety of properties, including residential and commercial buildings. You will need to work in all weather conditions and ensure that the work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install new roofing systems, including tiles, slates, felt, and other materials.
* Repair and maintain existing roofs, including flat, pitched, and tiled roofs.
* Inspect roofs for damage and wear, and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
* Ensure work is carried out in compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
* Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations.
* Work with other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
* Provide accurate assessments and reports on roof conditions for clients.
* Handle materials and tools safely and maintain a clean work environment.
* Respond to emergency roofing issues when required.
* Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members.
* Maintain and service roofing tools and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a roofer (minimum 2-3 years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
* Ability to work at heights and handle physically demanding tasks.
* Familiarity with various types of roofs including flat roofs, pitched roofs, and traditional slate and tile roofs.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Full UK driving license is required.
* CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card preferred.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with leadwork, guttering, or roofing systems such as EPDM.
* Valid First Aid and Health & Safety qualifications.
* Knowledge of the latest roofing technologies and materials
