What you'll be doing;
Coordinate and direct control room operations for consistent power production and steam turbine operation.
Monitor and control process parameters, including flow rates, pressures, and temperatures.
Assist Shift Team Leader with plant operation, monitoring, and first-line fault diagnosis.
Communicate with the operations team for parameter adjustments and report abnormalities.
Take immediate corrective action during emergencies to limit risks to people, equipment, and production.
Optimise usage of raw materials, chemicals, and plant utilities.
Monitor environmental emissions and maintain compliance through operational adjustments.
Prepare operational reports and work with maintenance technicians for troubleshooting.
Safely shut down and restart plant sections according to procedures and parameters.
Participate in start-up and commissioning of boiler, turbine generator, and plant auxiliaries following shutdowns.
What we're looking for;
Previous experience working in power plants, waste management facilities, marine or industrial settings.
Familiarity with SCADA/ DCS systems.
Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (IOSH / NEBOSH).
Technical qualification - engineering or operational apprenticeship.
Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
