Are you a recent graduate looking to make a difference in education? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to join a fantastic secondary school in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and support students in their academic and personal growth.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to assist with lesson delivery, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create an engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for those considering a future in teaching or education.

Responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary):

Assist teachers in the classroom with lesson preparation and delivery.
Provide targeted support to students, either individually or in small groups.
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Support students with additional learning needs.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of activities.
Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons.
To be a successful Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you need:

A degree (or equivalent qualification).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for working with young people and supporting their development.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential.
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
