MOD Projects Pre-Construction Manager.

Mobile role- a location anywhere in the South East will be fine for this position.

Our client is a major contractor to the Defence Sector. They oversee Facilities Management and Maintenance contracts and stand alone Construction Work across an extremely wide range of Defence locations and Estates in the South East of England.

Our client is looking for someone originally with a military background or with clear military experience for this position. This position will be split between approx. 2 days per week from home, with 3 days at MOD Sites. A car or car allowance is included in the package.

The position involves visiting MOD Project sites and carrying out initial planning and assessment of the proposed project before eventual handover to the construction team. Liaising closely with the MOD and reporting into a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing an initial assessment and plan for construction and maintenance work that needs to be carried out, bringing in internal design and financial management expertise and outside expertise where necessary, and with full support, putting together a plan, estimate, assessment and outline financial programme for the proposed project work.

This is a hugely varied position, but with superb support from a very large and successful PLC with a long term relationship with the MOD.

We are looking for a well-rounded FM or Construction Manager, with NEC Contract experience, who can laise effectively with MOD senior personnel and assess and plan a project effectively.

Work covers a wide-ranging Property Portfolio, including infrastructure projects, Plant Asset renewal HVAC, Chillers, Electrical Switch Gear, Life Safety Systems, CCTV and BMS, Hanger upgrades, MEP projects including ULEV, Demolition, and other facilities management services in the UK Defence Sector
