Lead/Electrical Engineer

Role Purpose
The Electrical Engineer will lead key aspects of P&R (Power & Renewables) projects, managing T&D projects from tendering to handover.
Protection and Control Engineer Responsibilities
>Produce and review primary plant layouts for MV & HV substations.
>Manage sub-contracting of specialist design/studies.
>Resolve technical issues promptly.
>Produce and review equipment specifications for HV Plant.
>Act as Owners’ Engineer for MV & HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
>Provide HV design input for renewable energy projects.
>Coordinate with client project teams and internal disciplines.
>Attend site surveys, FAT, and SAT as required.
>Manage and mitigate commercial risk.
>Handle internal procurement and maintain audit trails.
>Prepare technical submittals for client approval.
>Work with project PM, civil engineer, and QS on sub-contract packages.
>Ensure correct operation and successful handover of plant on site.
>Monitor project progress against the construction programme.
>Notify project QS of variations.
>Prepare and hand over safety documentation at project end.
>Undertake testing, fault investigation, and rectification.
>Provide technical support and direction to project team members.
>Promote a positive safety culture and safe working environment

> Review and manage the project from inception to handover.
>Hold regular meetings with the supply chain and client to maintain progress.
>Develop the project-specific quality plan.
Managing the people
>Review resource allocation and progress with the project manager.
>Motivate the project team
Necessary requirements
>3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
>Detailed understanding of HV and LV electricals.
>Proven track record of delivering projects on time and to budget.
> Strong IT skills.
>Drivers License
