Job Title: Private Client Assistant

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 D.O.E

We are looking for someone to join our team in the above role to provide effective support to our conveyancing department at the firm.

Duties of a Private Client Assistant

Providing full support to our Private Client Solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
Preparing correspondence using our case management system.
Attending to clients both on the telephone and in person.
Administering filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch.
Arranging the scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required.
To ensure that correct procedures relating to the storage and sending out of client’s deeds and documents are always followed.
To provide support and guidance to other assistants as required and always work as a team player.
To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
About the Person:

To be a successful candidate for this role you must also have the following attributes, skills and experience:

Have experience and knowledge of working within a Private Client department.
Demonstrate initiative and be able to undertake searches, ID checks and other work on files without dictation.
Possess high levels of speed and accuracy.
Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
Be highly organised, methodical and adaptable.
Have some experience in using Audio Typing.
Familiarity with legal documents and terminologies would be preferable but full training will be given.
An understanding of the concept of confidentiality and how to deal with confidential information.
