Remarkable Jobs are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lighting Technician to join our clients team. As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and testing of film and television lighting equipment, ensuring the highest quality standards are met before equipment is dispatched for use. This role is essential in supporting the lighting needs of film and TV productions by ensuring that all lighting equipment is ready and reliable.

‘Lighting Technician’ Key Responsibilities:

Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on all portable film and television lighting equipment.
Conduct electrical and mechanical function tests on all lighting equipment upon return from hire.
Track inventory and ensure all lighting equipment is in the correct physical location within the warehouse.
Ensure that lighting equipment pulled for dispatch is routed to the correct location at the right time.
Report damages and initiate repair procedures to maintain equipment readiness.
Work proactively to ensure a sufficient number of lighting assets are maintained at a “ready to rent” status.
Supervise trainee technicians and apprentices, ensuring safety and quality during the preparation and maintenance of lighting equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in areas where lighting equipment is stored and prepared.
Liaise with external contractors for cleaning and repairs, and manage lighting equipment in and out of the repair system.
Work closely with Department Supervisors, Equipment Managers, and other operational staff to ensure lighting stock levels are maintained.
‘Lighting Technician’ Key Skills

Strong commitment to quality and service standards in film and television lighting.
IT literate with the ability to learn in-house asset management systems related to lighting equipment.
Positive attitude and the ability to react to high demands in the film and TV production environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Adaptability and willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.
