Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Work Type: Permanent, Full-time, Onsite (Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our client’s product development team in Staffordshire. The team is involved with the design and development of user interface / display systems for use in vehicles. The display systems may incorporate interfaces to camera systems, infotainment, USB connections, and more.

As senior or principal engineer, you will be involved with

* Development of application-layer software for embedded display systems using C++

* Technically leading a small team of engineers, providing technical direction and support.

* Creation and implementation of robust software development processes to ensure high-quality delivery (i.e. similar to automotive practices)

* Mentoring and supporting of junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.

Key Skills and Experience: Senior Software Engineer

* Proven experience in C++ programming, with a strong understanding of object-oriented principles.

* Proficiency in Qt for developing intuitive and high-performance interfaces (e.g. touchscreens, automotive infotainment systems, medical devices, or industrial control systems)

* Familiarity with embedded software engineering (preferred but not essential).

* A degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.

* Experience of CANbus would be useful as would automotive development processes, Linux, or QML.
