Principal C&I Engineer

£55-60 per hour (Outside IR35) – Real flexible working

This role is a great opportunity for a highly skilled C&I engineer to join a business who are a leader in the design and manufacturing equipment for the defence, nuclear and heavy process sectors. They have a long and proud track record of delivering high quality, bespoke products and services.

You will actively lead and supervise engineering design teams across the control and instrumentation field and provide technical direction and oversight engineering activities.

Skills

* Taking instrumentation specifications from client and working out deliverables & drawings

* Complete cable calculations and safety calculations

* Specifying hardware and networks for control systems / PLCs (Allen Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens (S7) PLCs)

* Design and modifying new equipment including instrumentation, Mass spectrometers, flow meters, pressure gauges, motors, drives, VSD.

* Knowledge of remote AO nodes

This role has great flexibility with 4-day working week and hybrid work available along with a great outside IR35 hourly rate of £55-£60. This is a long-term assignment as the business has committed work from their prestigious customers.

The is a exciting time to come onboard with our client as business is in a growth period with a planned increase in current headcount of 20% across their engineering division.
