About the Role:

You will be working in one of our thriving secondary schools located across Nottingham, providing essential classroom support while helping to maintain a positive and structured learning environment.

Job Details:
This Cover Supervisor role is flexible and can be full or part-time, starting on a temporary basis with the potential to progress into a permanent position. It is an ideal opportunity for university students seeking part-time work or individuals looking to gain classroom experience with a focus on behaviour support.

We require passionate and dedicated individuals to take on the role of Cover Supervisor, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment while managing classroom behaviour effectively. A good sense of humour, the ability to relate to young people, and strong classroom management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support students in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Manage classroom dynamics and ensure students remain on task.
Provide support to students with challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques where necessary.
Foster strong relationships with students to encourage mutual respect and cooperation.
Uphold the school's policies on behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding.
