Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Specification Manager to join a well-established organisation to run the day-to-day management of client accounts with the technical and regulatory expertise in the Food industry and leading the way within the advisory teams, managing 6 direct reports.

Responsibilities
• Day to day management of a number of a client accounts.
• Direct line management of the delivery team- will manage six team leaders.
• Provide clear guidance to clients and suppliers and ensure that expectations that are managed and worked to time scales.
• Resolve any issues with workload of the team.
• Be the first point for matters of escalation from the Team Leaders, directly from the clients or from the sales teams in relation to quotations.
• Monitor or raise performance concerns from both an internal and external perspective. Communicating any training needs that are required.
• Provide timely feedback to the clients by providing written reports of the data collected.

The Person
• Educated to degree level or equivalent to Food Science, Nutrition or similar subject.
• Previous line management experience.
• Wealth of experience working with UK retailers within compliance, technical or regulatory (For example, M&S, Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Waitrose etc)
• Practical experience of using specification or artwork packages 
• Fluent in spoken and written English - even though the role is remote, you must be based in the UK.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Experience of communicating decisions to clients.
