Behaviour Mentor

Location: Rotherham

Salary: £95 - £120 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full Time/Part Time

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to join a dedicated team at a client school in Rotherham. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop positive behaviours.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to encourage positive behaviour.
Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
Assist in developing personalised behaviour plans tailored to individual student needs.
Act as a role model and mentor, promoting self-esteem and confidence in students.
Monitor and report on student progress, celebrating successes and addressing challenges.
Support the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
A commitment to promoting positive outcomes for all students.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
