Business Systems Analyst

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting a business systems transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to not only contribute to the transformation efforts but also to take ownership of the day-to-day (BAU) responsibilities supporting the current business systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting complex or bespoke business systems, with particular experience in HR and/or Finance systems. Proficiency in SQL is essential, and experience with Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
Please note: This is an onsite role and will require full-time availability to operate from the Norwich office. All candidates must live within a commutable distance of Norwich.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Systems Transformation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of the business systems transformation programme.
Analyse current business systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Support testing, training, and rollout activities associated with the transformation programme.
BAU Support and Maintenance:
Take ownership of the BAU responsibilities for existing business systems, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.
Provide second and third-line support for complex or bespoke business systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and proactively address any potential issues to minimise downtime.
Data Management and Reporting:
Utilise SQL to query databases, generate reports, and provide data analysis to support decision-making processes.
Work with stakeholders to develop custom reports and dashboards that meet business needs.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all business systems, implementing data validation checks and cleanup activities as necessary.Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with a focus on supporting complex or bespoke business systems.
Proven experience with a variety of business systems, including HR and/or Finance systems.
Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, reporting, and data analysis.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) is highly desirable.
Experience working in a transformation or change management environment is a plus.Skills:

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements, particularly related to HR and Finance systems
