Cleaner
Location: Manchester, M2 5HD
Reports to: Supervisor

Contract Length: 3 months

Hours of work - 17.00 to 20.30 / 3.5 hrs per day, 17.5 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of all allocated cleaning areas.

* Adhere to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and materials.

* Respond to initial call-outs for toilet blockages and resolve as needed.

* Report any incidents, accidents, or hazards to the supervisor promptly.

* Notify the supervisor of any maintenance issues, such as light bulb replacements, leaking wash basins, etc.

* Ensure proper compliance with all instructions regarding the use, storage, and handling of cleaning materials and equipment, including deliveries.

* Carry out all cleaning duties as per the set schedule and maintain high standards as expected by VINCI.

* Clean various surfaces, including hard floors, carpets, and upholstery, following VINCI-approved methods.

* Empty and dispose of waste correctly, ensuring segregation and delivery to the designated waste collection area (e.g., recyclable, compactor, etc.).

* Restock consumables in toilets, kitchens, and other areas to ensure a continuous supply.

* Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials and reorder when necessary.

* Operate electrical and battery-powered cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

* Address and remove pests and insects as necessary.

Skills & Experience:

* Previous cleaning experience preferred.

* Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Good communication skills and ability to report issues accurately.

* Awareness of safety and hygiene standards.
