Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer
Providing Electrical Design for within Building Services for Care Homes, Local Authority schools and Electrical Ductwork installations, Distilleries, Commercial and Residential developments. Involves the following electrical works from inception to completion:
* Liaise with clients to determine and manage end user requirements.
* Provide load assessments for existing and new build projects.
* Prepare budget costs and timescales for work to be completed.
* Produce design calculations using software such as Hevacomp and Dialux software
* Prepare H&S risk assessments.
* Building warrant and tender drawings.
* Electrical specifications and bills of quantities.
* Respond to technical queries and submittals from tender and construction contract phases.
* Co-ordinate Electrical services within a multi-disciplined team and also the contractor.
* Provide value engineering and approval of alternative solutions
* Attend monthly design team meetings.
* Site inspections when necessary until handover
* Review of contractor operating and maintenance manuals
* Attend with the client - contractor/specialist demonstrations of installed equipment
