James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a Section Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, to join their team working across the central belt.

Our client:

• A leading civil engineering contractor, known for their delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects across Scotland.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and manage a section of the project, ensuring works are delivered to a high standard.

• Supervise site activities, including setting out, quality control, and technical support.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and environmental standards.

• Provide technical guidance and support to the team, including managing subcontractors and suppliers.

• Review and interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Monitor progress, report on performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a Engineer working on civil engineering projects.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

• Proficient in setting out, surveying, and the use of relevant software.

• Full UK driving licence.
