An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced customer service officer/administrator to work in the Customer Services team, for a well-known Housing Association in Wakefield. This role will be a temporary-fixed-term contract position initially until March 2025.
Your new role
As a Customer Services Officer, you will be the first point of contact for tenants, providing exceptional customer service and addressing a range of housing-related queries. You will play a key role in ensuring that customers receive timely and effective support while handling all interactions in a professional and empathetic manner. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the positive impact they make in the communities.
Key Responsibilities:

Acting as point of contact for all enquiries and providing quality advice and assistance
Maintain records of customer interactions and follow up on enquiries to ensure timely resolution
Liaise with internal departments such as repairs, housing management and finance to resolve customer queries
Provide Administrative support for Tenant onboarding, ensuring all documents and procedures are completed
Support residents with any tenancy related issues, including rent arrears, complaints or changes in personal circumstances
What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a customer service or similar role, ideally within housing, social services, or the public sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple queries and follow up effectively.
Proficiency in using customer management systems and general IT tools.What you'll get in return
