SRS Partnership are looking for an experienced Estimator for our Glasgow based client, a leader in manufacturing energy-efficient, sustainable, and precision-engineered products.

You will be responsible for the preparation of detailed take-offs and costings for tenders and quotations across a variety projects. From small-scale projects worth £5k to large multi-million-pound developments, you’ll be handling diverse projects that offer a challenge and growth opportunities!

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architect drawings, specifications, and related docs to produce precise estimates
• Collect and analyse data on materials, labour, and overhead costs
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Clarify project details with clients to ensure estimates match the scope
• Develop value engineering solutions
• Assist with contract negotiations and procurement
• Support the sales team with technical expertise
• Handover estimates to design and production teams upon order receipt
• Keep up with industry trends, materials, and methods

What You Bring to the Table:

Essential:

• Experience or qualifications in estimating, quantity surveying, construction/project management, or procurement
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numeracy
• Excellent client service and communication skills at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Experience of working to tight deadlines

Desirable:

• Experience in the glass industry would be preferred
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and "gateway" requirements
• Experience with various construction types
• Familiarity with Passivhaus Standard
• Understanding of NHBC, Premier, or other building warranty standards
