Location: Sheffield

Salary: £43,000 + Pension + Excellent Benefits

- 25 holidays + 8 bank holidays

My client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers within its field of specialist metal alloys and associated products. The company is a well established producer to the global markets, having plants in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Americas, with over 75 years experience within manufacturing. The UK site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.

Key Skills

* Apprentice Trained in Engineering

* 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks

* 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment

The Role

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

* Create or modify 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software

* Delivering high-quality drawings, while maintaining drawings, document standards

* Manage drawing data and revision control and checking drawings for sign off

* Capture process and drawing improvement opportunities

* Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements

* Liaising with manufacturing providers

* Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings

* Communicating directly with internal and external engineers to determine requirements

* Working with a wide variety of equipment, while maintaining engineering drawings and procedures

* Attend and contribute towards daily and weekly planned maintenance meetings/plant priority reviews

* Facilitate lean ways of working to minimise waste and maximise efficiency, ensuring departmental objectives
