What you'll be doing;
Assist in preparing site maintenance budget proposals and work within approved budgets.
Coordinate in-house maintenance team activities, delegating and prioritising work.
Ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and safe execution of all maintenance tasks.
Develop and implement risk assessments, method statements, and Permits to Work.
Manage site CMMS, ensuring effective maintenance processes and asset records.
Assist in planning and managing maintenance outages, including annual planned outages.
Oversee contractors on site, ensuring proper inductions, safety compliance, and adherence to company procedures.
Ensure compliance with Veolia Management System, Health and Safety Policies, and environmental legislation.
Communicate effectively at all levels and produce clear, concise reports.
Participate in emergency response, standby rota, and deputise for the Maintenance Manager when necessary.
What we're looking for;
HNC-level qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline or extensive relevant experience.
Understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Pressure System Safety Regulations.
Proficiency in IT, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (advantageous).
Experience with steam raising and power generation technologies, preferably in Energy from Waste.
Significant knowledge of maintenance for various plant equipment and systems.
Leadership experience with multi-skilled teams (desirable).
Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to prioritise tasks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
