Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible start/finish times with early finish on Friday
Benefits: 25 Days + Bank Holidays, Private Healthcare

With plans for future expansion, they are focused on building a talented team and advancing employees from within. With the exciting new projects ahead, they're currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dedicated team.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out all the design work required across project once they’ve been one.
This will look like:
Develops the 3D models for the product and the 2D GA for customer approval
May do a DFM peer review with production present
Produce 2D detailed fabrication drawings
Mechanical calculations
The Components being modelled will be shafts, blades, seals and linkages. These will be a mixture of sheet metal fabricated components and machined components.
The Candidate:
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will very much be attitude driven, with the ability to work well within a tight-knit, friendly team.
Experience desired:
3D modelling experience
Solid background as a Mechanical Design Engineer
SolidWorks is preferred though any CAD package would be considered
Experience within a sheet metal/fabrication setting would be highly advantageous
Desire to learn
Friendly, proactive and attention to detail driven
