Mars Valve UK Ltd was formed in 2(Apply online only) and has grown from strength to strength, we have a excellent technical knowledge of over 28 years in the UK valve industries, we have gained a global reputation for the quality of its valves and the aftersales service provided.
Mars Valve’s channel to market is through a series on regional master distributors – who represent the product, and ensure local stock and technical support provides the service orientation.
What you’ll do:
As a Storesperson, your role will be to support the Mars office with the running of the stores department - organizing collections and deliveries.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Control stock within the stores
Carry out receipt and issues for goods going into & out of the stores
Booking of goods, tranferring and kitting orders making sure to adhere to deadlines
Ensure that all documentation that is required on the order is dispatched with the goods
Carry out inventory checks, identifying any stock shortages
Carry out visual inspection to ensure goods are not damaged/defective
Correctly kitting works order components and materials, assembling change to structure of valve when required
Preparing documents as required in line with the company processes, including goods received notes, route cards and non-conformance reports
Using a FLT to unload deliveries and move stock
Operating overhead crane as required
Ensure excellent house-keeping standards are maintained throughout the stores area
Packing and inspection when required (cross training can be provided)
Responsible for the local compliance with the Integrated Management system (IMS)
What you’ll need:
At least 1 year stores experience, ideally within a mechanical engineering environment.
FLT License and experience operating overhead crane.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages
Able to read and interpret documents
Ability to write routine reports
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organisation.
Degree of accuracy
Efficient time management
Must be able to (on occasion) lift/move up to 30lbs.
