Account Director – Retail POS & Print
London/Hertfordshire
Up to £60,000 + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + bonus + pension + employee discounts scheme
Due to new contract wins, we have a new opportunity for an experienced client facing Account Director who has a soldi background in Retail POS and Print.
This role is to manage and expand client relationships while driving revenue, profitability, and strategic development within the account.
Your key responsibilities include overseeing financial targets, operational services, client satisfaction, and team leadership. The position involves working initially in Waltham Cross before moving to the permanent site in Bishop's Stortford.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Lead and develop key relationships with senior client personnel, ensuring consistent high-quality service and satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and support an account team, focusing on their professional growth through regular appraisals, mentoring, and succession planning.
Strategic Account Planning: Create and execute comprehensive client account plans aimed at client retention and service expansion.
Collaboration & Communication: Build solid relationships across departments, third-party agencies, and internal Creative while acting as the primary escalation point for client issues.
Operational Excellence: Ensure all services meet KPIs and SLAs, and maintain up-to-date client information within CRM systems for transparency.
Revenue & Forecasting: Actively manage account growth with accurate revenue forecasting, budget visibility, and periodic reporting.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in account management experience
Solid understanding of retail POS.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams with motivational and developmental focus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
Technical & Commercial Knowledge: Understanding the core services, with a strong focus on operational and commercial balance.
Problem-Solving: Ability to approach challenges creatively and proactively.
Attention to Detail & Organization: Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
