Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Power Company to recruit an Electrically biased Multi-skilled Technician for its site in Suffolk.

The Multi-Skilled Technician role comes with a salary of c. £39,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will:

Fault finding, installing and maintaining, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A recognised Electrical Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC
At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc.
Strong understanding of mechanical fault-finding in heavy process environments, which will be required during call-outs.
Any Controls and Instrumentation experience would be hugely beneficial but not essential

The Multi-Skilled Technician role would suit someone who has:

Able to work a 1 in 4 call-out rota.
Able to work well alone or within a team
A self-starter who always has a positive attitude to work
