Job Title: Senior Residential Childcare Worker
Salary: £12-£13 per hour + £50 per sleep-in
Location: 3-bedded EBD Children's Home
Rota: 1 day on, 2 days off

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at a small, 3-bedded children's home supporting young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). If you have experience in residential childcare and are looking for a rewarding role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality care and support to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

* Lead shifts and oversee the day-to-day running of the home.

* Act as a positive role model, promoting independence and life skills for young people.

* Safeguard young people, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.

* Support and mentor junior staff to maintain a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

* Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a residential childcare setting.

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards).

* Ability to work flexibly and commit to the 2 on / 4 off shift pattern.

* Passionate about supporting young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties
