Carmichael UK are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer specializing in Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame work to join our team at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the RC Frame structures, adhering to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and implementation of RC Frame construction activities on site.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, technical standards, and safety regulations.

Perform site surveys, setting out, and leveling to ensure accurate construction.

Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project management team.

Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with design and engineering standards.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, materials usage, and any issues encountered.

Support the resolution of technical or construction-related challenges.

Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols on site.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Proven experience in RC Frame construction, preferably on large-scale projects.

Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Proficiency in setting out and leveling for accurate construction.

Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and surveying instruments.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

Desirable:

Previous experience working on infrastructure projects within the nuclear sector.

Familiarity with construction standards and requirements specific to high-security environments.

Professional accreditation or membership with a recognized engineering body
