Previous experience as a; teaching assistant, care worker, support worker, coach, any relevant voluntary role or personal expereince supporting people with additional needs is required.
We currently require a full time teaching assistant for our SEN school in Ely, to start as soon as possible. Following a successful probationary period there is an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff with the school. This particular school support primary and secondary aged pupils with social emotional and mental health needs. The position will require you to support Monday to Friday during term time and due to the semi-rural location of the school, your own vehicle is desirable if you are not within walking distance. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to further their career within education and gain valuable experience whilst making a difference to the lives of others.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with Social, emotional and mental health needs, ensuring their educational needs are met.
Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and adapt teaching materials to meet the students' needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Passion for supporting SEN children and young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
