Due to exceptional growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Swadlincote for an experienced Machine Operator to join their expanding team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The role will include operating the Press Brake/Laser Machine and supporting the Team Leader with the distribution of work and handling queries, as well as covering for them during holidays & meetings. Therefore, someone with previous supervisory or deputy experience is required and experience of operating a Press Brake or Laser Machine.

Machine Operator Job Details & Benefits;

* £12.50 per hour to start rising to £14.61 per hour when permanent

* 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays

* 37.5 hours per week & paid overtime after 37.5 hours

* Afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday 2-10:30pm, Friday 2pm-8pm

Machine Operator Job Details;

* Daily maintenance of machinery and pre-use checks

* Use of production software

* Operating the Press Brake and Laser Machine

* Fibre Laser operation

* FLT operation – training will be provided

* Checking parts against drawings and segregating cut parts into correct packs

* Read and follow drawings

* Weekly machine clean downs

* Deputy team leader duties

Machine Operator Person Specification;

* CNC experience is preferred but not essential

* Experience operating a Press Brake or Laser machine

* Strong attention to detail

* Previous Supervisory or deputy experience is required

* Ability to use basic computer functions

* Ability to read technical drawings is preferable but not essential as training can be provided
