Development Finance Manager

Numbers don’t lie. But they can be misleading if they’re not managed properly. That’s where you come in!

Our client, a local housing developer, is building homes and managing finances to make sure those projects actually happen. They need a Development Finance Manager who can keep the cash flowing, ensure reports are rock solid, and keep funders and auditors happy.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Working with the Development and Sales teams to keep scheme reporting accurate.

* Running financial appraisals on new developments—making sure they’re worth doing.

* Managing weekly and monthly cash flow reporting, budgets, and reforecasts.

* Keeping track of grant claims, tax, and private subsidies.

* Handling treasury management, including liaising with lenders and ensuring funding obligations are met.

* Overseeing VAT returns, tax queries, and property securitisation.

* Making sure everything is correctly accounted for in financial systems.

* Supporting and stepping in for the Assistant Director of Finance when needed.

What We’re Looking For

* A fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPFA, ICAEW).

* Experienced in capital appraisals, treasury management, and forecasting.

* Confident in financial regulations, tax, and compliance.

* Comfortable with accounting software and advanced Excel wizardry.

* Someone who can talk finance in a way non-finance people actually understand.

* A strong leader who can guide a team.
