Job Title: Kitchen Porter

Location: near Dorking (MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT)
Salary: Up to £15 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, 5 days over 7 on a rota basis
Start Date: Immediate start – Temp to Perm

Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy hotel near Dorking. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.

* Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, sanitized, and stored correctly.

* Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef.

* Help with receiving and storing deliveries.

* Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and tidy.

* Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with hotel procedures.

* Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is preferred but not essential.

* Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.

* Strong team player with good communication skills.

* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.

* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
