Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant?

We require a teaching assistant to work providing 1-1 support for a Year 4 pupil who has additional needs.

The position will start in early September and be required until the end of the academic year in a local Primary school.

We are looking to recruit confident Teaching Assistants who hold at least a Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent. The role is a full-time position, but the school can be flexible for the right candidate.

The role is to work within the a KS2 Class supporting a pupil who has additional needs so experience working with this age range and SEN would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who:

· Create strong rapport with students and staff within a school setting.

· Experience working within a school setting..

· Clear understanding of special educational Needs such as ADHD, Autism, Global delay, Speech and language, dyspraxia and Dyslexia.

· Support pupils with behaviour issues

· Support pupils with Social, emotional and mental health difficulties, sensory and physical needs.

· Capable of aspiring pupils to achieve outstanding results.

· Help to create a safe striving learning environment.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) Qualification

* Diploma or Degree in an Education based subject.

* If you are ‘Qualified by Experience’ – Have no qualification but do have solid experience of working in a classroom.

* If you have experience of assisting in group or 1:1 situation.
