About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Progression Coach to play a pivotal role in supporting our learners as they transition from completing their DPS course to securing meaningful employment. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between academia and the workplace, providing tailored guidance and mentorship to ensure learners are well-prepared for their career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

* Mentoring and Guidance: Provide one-on-one mentoring and career advice to learners, addressing their individual needs, challenges, and aspirations.

* Job Matching: Collaborate with our recruitment team to identify suitable job vacancies that align with learners' skills and interests.

* CV and Interview Preparation: Assist learners in crafting compelling CVs and preparing for interviews, ensuring they present themselves effectively to potential employers.

* Networking: Foster relationships with industry professionals and employers to create networking opportunities for learners.

* Career Development: Support learners in identifying their career goals and developing a personalized career plan.

* Performance Tracking: Monitor learners' progress and provide feedback to ensure they are on track to achieve their objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience working with young people in a career advice or training capacity.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and engage learners.

* Deep understanding of the job market, particularly in key sectors such as Construction, Business and Finance, Digital, Engineering and Manufacturing, Health and Social Care, Early Years, Catering and Hospitality, and Warehousing and Logistics.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* Flexibility to travel regularly across Walsall, Birmingham, Coventry, and the wider West Midlands.

Additional Desirable Skills:

* Experience in the beauty sector.

* Knowledge of apprenticeship schemes and funding opportunities.
