Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering assigned technical packages in support of the sales and delivery functions. Working closely with the sales team during late proposal stages and with project managers throughout the delivery stage The Project Engineer ensures that clients' technical requirements are clearly understood and addressed appropriately at every project phase.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the sales team to ensure have a clear understanding of the customer's technical requirements.

* Work closely with the sales team during later proposal stages to fully align suitable equipment to perform operational tasks onshore & offshore, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with client needs.

* Support meetings with relevant sales team members during live projects or ongoing tenders (technical sales support, technical clarifications, equipment allocation etc.)

* Ensure customers’ requirements are clearly understood and defined, and work to incorporate them into setup reports and the project management plan.

* Assist in preparing technical deliverables for rental projects, such as project specifications, reports, and documentation.

* Manage risks to avoid project delays, cost variances or reputational damage.

* Contribute to the successful delivery of technical packages for rental projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and specifications.

* Knowledge of current good engineering practice.

* Sign & issue technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting responsibility for its adequacy.

* Support the development of project-specific procedures for the implementation of work scopes, including method statements, operating manuals, FAT procedures, etc

* Build a strong and effective working relationship with project managers, customers, partners, suppliers and internal teams.

* Maintain open and effective communication with various teams involved in rental projects, fostering collaboration and ensuring that technical concerns are addressed promptly.

* Ensure all procedures and processes are rigorously adhered to throughout the project.

* Contribute to lessons learned for all ongoing & completed projects, actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

* Support the Asset team to grow and maintain the asset database, as well as asset FAQ’s

* Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to enhance technical and project management skills

* Receive increased responsibility and tasks that align with demonstrated competence as well as engage in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent field, or equivalent experience.

* Strong technical and project management skills

* Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation & interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-orientated environment.

* Ability to meticulously review technical documentation, project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements.

* Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical issues, challenges and obstacles during project development and delivery.

* Ability to analyse complex technical data and information to make informed decisions.

* Effective time and task management and ability to multitask to meet project deadlines and milestones.

* Ability to adjust to ever-changing project requirements and client needs.

* A commitment to understanding and meeting client requirements and expectations.

* A willingness to take the initiative and propose technical improvements or solutions.

* Ability to negotiate with clients in a project environment, present technical solutions for changes to work scopes to clients and develop win-win strategies.

* Eagerness to learn and grow in technical and project management skills, with a willingness to take on increased responsibilities as competence is demonstrated
