Unite People are working with specialist construction contractor to recruit for a freelance Site Engineer to work on a multistory accommodation new-build project in Manchester.

Working with a main contractor, you will be a part of a £75m+ project from piling and foundation stage; through to RC frame, externals, and internal patricians. You will be an integral part of the team, dealing with the project management team, other Engineers on site, sub-contractors and some client interaction.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

* CSCS Card

* HND, HNC or Civil Engineering degree is preferred

* Previous experience as an Engineer, setting out of build elements including groundworks and RC frame.

* Ability to work under deadlines, organising and prioritising deadlines to meet construction programme targets

* Understanding of setting out, using and EDM/ Total station.

* Preferably provide laptop and surveying software

You will ideally be within commuting distance of the project, and have previous experience of delivering construction projects such at student accommodation, private rental accommodation or RC frames/ structures.
