They are seeking a dynamic Packaging Technologist to join their innovative team in Glasgow. This crucial role involves managing packaging projects from inception to launch, ensuring they meet high standards and ambitious goals for commercial success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Oversee all packaging projects from concept through to launch, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Risk Mitigation: Identify and address any potential risks related to packaging and the product development process.

Compliance & Standards: Develop and refine packaging processes to ensure they meet global compliance standards and product quality requirements.

Artwork Process: Support and guide the artwork process from brief to final approval.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with Supply Chain to manage timelines and facilitate smooth packaging developments.

Supplier Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with material suppliers, external agencies, and contract manufacturers.

Sustainability Leadership: Lead sustainability initiatives by researching and implementing advancements in eco-friendly packaging.

Market Research: Stay informed about global beauty and packaging trends to drive innovation.

Person Specification:

Experience: 2-3 years in a packaging technologist or specialist role, ideally in the beauty sector.

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of global packaging regulations and quality assurance/testing procedures.

Project Management: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across various departments and with external partners.

Desirable Skills: CAD design skills and a degree in Engineering, Packaging, Product Design, or a similar field are advantageous. A Diploma in Packaging Technology is a plus.
