Job Title: Machinist

Location: Wednesbury

Pay Rates: £28k - £30k

Hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30

We're looking for experienced machinists to work with conventional machines like Bridgeport millers and Jones & Shipman surface grinders, as well as CNC Lathes and Millers running on Fanuc controls.

What you will be doing:

Setting, and operating CNC and XYZ Machinery.
Machining samples to meet international testing criteria with precision and consistency.
Programming wire eroder machines to create precise impact specimens.
Operating surface grinders to produce impact specimens to exact specifications.
Cutting specimens using the saw with care and precision.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce high-spec components.
Performing tool changes and machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Conducting quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshooting and making real-time adjustments to optimise performance.

What are we looking for?

Experience with conventional machines (Bridgeport millers, Jones & Shipman surface grinders).
Experience with CNC Lathes and Millers using Fanuc controls.
Skilled in programming wire eroder machines and producing impact specimens.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and machining processes.
Experience with machining to international testing criteria.
